Planet Spores

Planet Spores is a Canadian mycology business founded in 2019 by friends united by an interest in fungi. The team reports more than 20 years of combined mycology experience and aims to simplify mushroom cultivation while encouraging greater understanding of fungi and the study of psilocybin mushrooms. It serves amateur and professional mycologists in Canada and worldwide with cultivation products, information, and laboratory supplies.

Its catalogue includes gourmet and psychedelic mushroom spores and genetics, spore and liquid culture syringes, agar culture plates, colonized grain spawn, substrates, and mushroom grow kits. Kit and bundle options include sterilized spawn, substrate, injection ports, syringes, and, in some cases, a tub, helping customers choose supplies for different cultivation setups. Planet Spores also offers mycology and lab equipment, bulk deals, and custom contract mycology services.

The company says trained lab technicians and mycologists manage its in-house spore bank, grow-kit operations, spawn and substrate production, and laboratory inventory.
