Plastic Soup Surfer
@plasticsoupsurfer.org
Through expeditions on surfboards made of plastic waste the Plastic Soup Surfers seeks to change ‘throw away society’ and stop plastic pollution. Our campaigns and expeditions directly influence political resolutions and led to several product bans by Dutch retail. Our army is ever growing.

About Plastic Soup Surfer
The Plastic Soup Surfer, led by Merijn Tinga, is a brand on a mission to combat the increasing plastic pollution in our marine environments. Tinga uses surfboards as his weapon of choice to raise awareness and convey his message. What started as an awareness-generating project has evolved into a creative organization dedicated to bringing about change.
Their goal is to address plastic pollution at its source by advocating for policy reforms and corporate responsibility measures. Through agenda-setting, activation, cooperation, and forcing breakthroughs, they work towards reducing the amount of plastic litter entering our environment. The Plastic Soup Surfer also offers inspiring presentations about expeditions and campaigns, as well as advice to individuals and companies looking to join the fight against plastic pollution.
With the support of the Plastic Free Sea Foundation, their work aims to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution and its impact on aquatic environments. Connect with the Plastic Soup Surfer team and learn more about their impactful work on their website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference and protect our oceans from plastic pollution
