The Orquesta Sinfónica Infantil y Juvenil de Playa del Carmen actively contributes to the cultural landscape of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, by nurturing young musical talent. Under the direction of Liliam Lima, the orchestra recently celebrated the closing of its first semester with a spectacular concert at the Teatro de la Ciudad “Xaman Ha.” The event showcased the achievements of 90 students, highlighting the inclusion of 33 new members. The orchestra has expanded its reach, performing in various venues from local neighborhoods to major events like the Feria del Libro y las Artes.

The concert featured a diverse repertoire, including popular Mexican pieces such as Danzón 2 by Arturo Márquez and traditional songs like La Cucaracha. The institution is committed to not only providing musical education but also creating performance opportunities that elevate the students' skills. Recognizing outstanding young musicians, the orchestra fosters aspirations, with students progressing to perform nationally, enriching both their personal journeys and the community's cultural fabric.
