Playful Connections Therapy Group

Playful Connections Therapy Group is a children’s counselling service based in Traralgon, supporting families across the Latrobe Valley and surrounding Gippsland communities. Founded by play therapists and early childhood teachers Megan Perez and Jessie Bayley, the practice provides child-centred, neuro-inclusive and trauma-informed support for children aged 3 to 12. Its approach uses play to help children express feelings, understand their experiences, build communication and problem-solving skills, and develop resilience and confidence.

Services include individual Child-Centred Play Therapy, Filial Play Therapy, which involves parents in therapeutic play, and the Learn To Play Program, which supports children’s spontaneous play and social and cognitive development. The team also offers support for concerns including school readiness, behavioural challenges, anxiety, autism, ADHD, PDA, trauma and fears. Through its TORA facilitation, the group helps teachers strengthen positive relationships with students. Support is tailored to each child and family, with therapists aiming to create a safe, accepting environment for emotional growth and stronger relationships.
