Playfully Present

Playfully Present is a child and family wellbeing practice founded by Ange Bertram in Launceston, Tasmania, serving the surrounding areas. A registered Play Therapist and Supervisor, counsellor, and early childhood teacher, Ange offers neuro-affirming, strength-based support tailored to each child and family. Her approach draws on child development, mindfulness, CCPT, DIR Floortime, and Learn to Play, creating a supportive space where children can feel understood and build social and emotional skills.

Services include child-centred play therapy, development-focused interventions, child and parent counselling, small-group play, wellbeing workshops, and play therapy supervision. Sessions can support children’s emotional development, confidence, resilience, social connection, and self-understanding, while helping families explore what a child’s behaviour may communicate. Parent support also addresses wellbeing, attachment, and balance. Small-group sessions are structured around shared interests and developmental age.

Ange generally works with children aged three to twelve and begins by meeting with a parent or carer to understand the family’s story and needs. Playfully Present is based at Wesley Chambers, 34 Paterson Street, Launceston.
