Playful Paediatrics

Playful Paediatrics is a children’s therapy hub in Brisbane offering holistic, play-based support for children and their families. Based in a converted Queenslander home, the practice aims to create a calm, familiar environment where children feel safe, seen and ready to engage. Its connection-first approach values family involvement and supports children’s communication, regulation and confidence through everyday routines and relationships.

Speech pathology services help children and young people communicate in ways that work for them, including through speech, signs, visuals and communication devices. Support covers early communication, language, speech clarity, social communication, literacy foundations, fluency, voice, confidence, augmentative and alternative communication, and feeding and mealtime concerns. The team also works collaboratively with occupational therapy and psychology providers to address sensory needs, regulation, routines and emotional wellbeing as part of whole-child care. Occupational therapy support focuses on everyday participation and sensory needs, while psychology can help children and families build understanding and emotional safety. Playful Paediatrics encourages caregivers to feel supported and involved, with therapy grounded in connection rather than pressure.
