About Playport
Playport is an open-source iPhone app that brings Windows PC games to stock, non-jailbroken devices, running them locally on the phone rather than through a PC, cloud service, or stream. Players can connect their Steam, GOG, and Epic Games accounts to browse, download, update, verify, and repair games in one library, or add DRM-free titles from Files. The app is designed for controllers, with a landscape interface, game-specific options, achievements, and save support where available.
Playport translates Windows game code and graphics for iPhone hardware using technologies including Wine, FEX, DXMT, and Vulkan-related tools. It supports both 64-bit and 32-bit games, with automatic backend selection. The project highlights Portal 2 running at about 60 frames per second at 720p, and says Hollow Knight can reach its first frame in around 10 seconds. Playport is distributed as an IPA for sideloading and includes a setup checklist for JIT pairing, memory configuration, and store sign-in.
