PLAYSPORT S.p.A. is an Italian company specialized in the design, production and distribution of outdoor, technical and sports footwear. Its roots date back to 1911, with the founding of the Brixia shoe factory by the Congiu family. Originally dedicated to military footwear, the company later specialized in mountaineering and outdoor footwear, developing strong expertise in performance, durability and technical innovation. Over the years, the Group has acquired and developed historic outdoor footwear brands such as Kayland®, Trezeta® and Brixia®, and has continued to manage licensing agreements for the production and marketing of Fila Skates® inline and ice skates and Hypno® skates for roller derby. Following the acquisition of Rekord and the completion of the corporate integration process, effective June 30, 2026, M.G.M. S.p.A. became PLAYSPORT S.p.A., strengthening its position as one of Europe’s leading manufacturing hubs for technical outdoor footwear.
