About Pleegzorg Vlaanderen
Pleegzorg Vlaanderen is dedicated to supporting and guiding more than 1,500 foster families, over 1,700 foster children and young people, and over 140 temporary guests. In addition, they are responsible for recruiting and selecting prospective foster families and preparing them for their foster care commitment. Pleegzorg Vlaanderen works in collaboration with parents, foster families, counselors, and consultants to provide optimal development opportunities for foster children and guests.
Their mission is to provide a suitable family situation for those who cannot live at home or create a home for themselves, contributing to a caring and inclusive society. Pleegzorg Vlaanderen achieves this by raising awareness about foster care, finding foster caregivers, and involving them in the support services. They prioritize quality guidance, customized care, and collaborative efforts with children, parents, foster caregivers, and other organizations.
