About Plymptoons
Born in Portland, Oregon, Plympton's early years were spent honing his drawing skills and imagination, thanks to Oregon's rainy climate. His passion for animation was sparked during his time at Portland State University, where he created posters for the film society and delved into the world of film. To pursue his artistic career further, Plympton moved to New York City in 1968.
Over the next 15 years, he carved a niche for himself as a talented illustrator and cartoonist, with his work appearing in prestigious publications like The New York Times, Vogue, and Vanity Fair. Additionally, Plympton created a political cartoon strip called Plympton in The Soho Weekly News. Today, Bill Plympton is a renowned brand known for his distinct and visually captivating animations.
With a diverse portfolio encompassing feature films, short films, and music videos, he continues to captivate audiences with his unique storytelling and hand-drawn animation style. Plympton's brand represents creativity, innovation, and a deep passion for the art of animation
