The Port Management Association of Eastern and Southern Africa (PMAESA) is a non-profit, inter-governmental organization that aims to promote regional cooperation and integration among member ports. PMAESA is composed of Port Operators, Government Line Ministries, Logistics and Maritime Service Providers, and other port and shipping stakeholders from the Eastern, Western, and Southern African and Indian Ocean regions. Established in 1973 in Mombasa, Kenya, under the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, PMAESA serves as a platform for the exchange of information and ideas among its members in the port, transport, and trade arenas.

The association also works towards enhancing the operation and management of ports in the region to improve productivity. PMAESA collaborates with other African port management associations, such as the North African Ports Association (UAPNA) and the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA), through the Pan-African Association for Port Co-operation (PAPC). The association focuses on matters such as maritime safety, protection of the marine environment, transit transport, port statistics, public sector-private sector partnership, communication, the cruise industry, and regional cooperation.
