PMAGY (Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana) is a transformative initiative by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. 20. 00 lakh per village. Since its inception in 2009-10, PMAGY has made significant strides, covering 1000 villages in the pilot phase and extending to 1184 'Adarsh Grams' by 2014-15.

The scheme's new approach includes the identification of critical needs through village development plans and emphasizes convergence with other government initiatives. With a vision to cover approximately 27000 villages by 2024-25, PMAGY aligns with key socio-economic domains like education, health, infrastructure, and livelihood development to ensure holistic growth and empowerment of marginalized communities
