Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company Limited (PMIC) is registered as an Investment Finance Company under NBFCs regulations with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. It is setup jointly by, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Department for International Development (DFID) through Karandaaz Pakistan and the German Development Bank (KFW) to catalyze and lead the next phase of growth in the microfinance sector of Pakistan.

About Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company
Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company Limited (PMIC) is a national-level apex institution for microfinance providers in Pakistan. Registered under Section 32 of the Companies Ordinance 1984, PMIC is licensed to provide Investment Finance Services. As an important pillar of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, PMIC aims to strengthen and scale-up sustainable and responsible access to finance for individuals, micro-entrepreneurs, and micro-enterprises in Pakistan.
Driven by a passion for progress and a commitment to serving the underserved, PMIC was created through a partnership between Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, Karandaaz Pakistan, and KfW development Bank. With a focus on empowerment, PMIC prioritizes sectors such as women and youth, rural areas, digital pathways, and employment generation. As a commercially structured organization, PMIC has the ability to raise funds from local and international markets, providing market-based financing to microfinance providers.
