The PMLP serves all of Peabody and a portion of Lynnfield (an autonomous subdivision of the City of Peabody). With approximately 26,000 customers, PMLP is the third largest of 40 municipal electric utilities in the Commonwealth. PMLP is governed by an elected, 5-person Board of Commissioners called the Peabody Municipal Lighting Commission (PMLC). The PMLC works with the PMLP Management team to achieve our goal of providing reliable electric service at the lowest possible cost. We also play an active role in community affairs and encourage our employees to participate in community events. In fact, many of our employees are Peabody and Lynnfield residents who already have a vested interest in community affairs.

About Peabody Municipal Light Plant
Peabody Municipal Light Plant (PMLP) is an electric company located in Peabody, Massachusetts, serving the Peabody and South Lynnfield areas. PMLP offers a secure and convenient Online BillPay Program that allows customers to easily pay their utility bills online. With the online billing and payment system, PMLP aims to enhance customer service by providing timely, accurate, and secure utility billing services.
To access the Online BillPay Program, customers can use either their desktop or mobile devices. New users will need their customer Account Number and Telephone Number associated with their PMLP Account. Payments can be made using credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, and Discover) or through e-checks using the customer's checking or savings account.
PMLP does not charge any additional fees for online payments made through the customer account portal. Safety and security are a top priority for PMLP. The online payment system uses bill information directly from PMLP and has partnered with a secure, third-party payment processor called Southeastern Data.
