Place of Departure Reboot Develop Blue

Place of Departure is an independent game development studio based in Prague, Czech Republic. The award-winning team focuses on creating distinctive intellectual properties through original gameplay, narrative, art, and humor, with an emphasis on creative freedom. Its members have released more than 28 games across PC, consoles, and smartphones, bringing over a decade of game industry experience. The studio’s creative leads also have more than two decades of experience in visual design and marketing. Before Place of Departure was founded, the team’s most recent release was Ministry of Broadcast, available on PC, macOS, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.

The studio is currently developing Brute Horse, an action platformer and co-op property set in the absurd world of South Vulgaria. Its story follows a barbarian, his horse, and an assassin-inventor on a mission to save Horse. The game combines action, adventure, comedy, and distinctive mechanics, with planned availability on PC via Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. Place of Departure also operates an online shop where customers can support the studio through purchases.
