The Poder Judicial de Costa Rica is the country’s judicial institution, serving the public through courts and a broad network of legal, administrative, and support bodies. Its website provides information about the institution’s history, organization, operations, offices, programs, and current judicial news, alongside tools that help people access justice and understand their rights.

Members of the public can use online services to request criminal-record certificates, obtain child-support certifications, submit legal filings, check cases, and manage child-support or domestic-violence matters. The site also offers court hearing schedules, virtual hearing information, judicial deposits, jurisprudence and legislation searches, forms, office directories, and public statistics on caseloads and performance. The Judicial Bulletin, the institution’s official publication, is available for public consultation on working days.

Additional resources include the Public Defender’s Office, restorative justice, judicial mediation, citizen participation initiatives, and a youth-focused justice information space. The Poder Judicial also shares educational materials, service guidance, transparency information, and contact channels to help users navigate its services and provide feedback.
