The Podiatry Association of South Africa (PASA) is the country’s recognised voice for the podiatry profession. Established in 1979, it represents podiatrists working in private practice and the public sector and promotes access to quality foot and ankle care. PASA works with government and educational bodies to help ensure podiatric services are available where and when needed.

The association helps the public find registered podiatrists through a searchable directory organized by province, supporting people seeking professional care. Its website also provides foot-health information and guidance on care for children, sports participants, seniors, footwear choices, and people with diabetes. These resources encourage the public to seek care from professionals approved by the association.

PASA’s broader work focuses on educating the public, healthcare bodies, and students; advancing the profession through clinical and socioeconomic studies; and advocating for registered podiatrists to practise to the full extent of their education and training.
