PODISTI INSONNI

Podisti Insonni is an amateur sports association based in Zanica, near Bergamo, Italy, built around the shared joy of running together at dawn. Its members meet at 5:30 a. m., welcoming both experienced runners and people looking for company or motivation to start.

The group combines road and track running with non-competitive community races, known locally as tapasciate, and bodyweight strength sessions. Its Fun Power workouts use music and simple equipment such as steps, weights, and resistance bands, and are open to different ages and fitness levels. Wellbeing, friendship, and social participation are central to the association’s activities.

Podisti Insonni organizes charitable events including Papa Gio Run, a 5- and 10-kilometer run or walk supporting the Paolo Belli Association, and Running Against Violence Against Women, which raises awareness of violence against women. Other initiatives include inclusive group outings for women, a route connecting local community centers, and a run with dogs and their owners. The association also takes part in volunteering and fundraising projects, bringing sport and solidarity together
