Pod Marjánkou

Ekocentrum Pod Marjánkou is a nonprofit association based in Nové Strašecí, Czech Republic. It brings residents together through community activities focused on caring for the local landscape, protecting water in nature, and educating the public about nature conservation. Its work connects practical environmental stewardship with opportunities for people to learn and take part in local projects.

Current and past initiatives include the Za Vodou educational trail, the VenkUčebna outdoor classroom at Fortna, the Skřítek Strašík nature trail, a nature study group called Vodoměrka, and activities for young field researchers. The association also organizes walks to nearby springs, restores spring sites, creates ponds and wetlands, and supports greening projects. It plans to establish a multifunctional environmental education centre in Pecínov; in the meantime, it runs events that demonstrate thoughtful ways to care for the surrounding countryside.
