About Applied Research Institute ARIJ
POICA (Palestine in Century) is a collaborative initiative between the Applied Research Institute in Jerusalem (ARIJ) and the Land Research Center (LRC), dedicated to monitoring Israeli colonizing activities in the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza. Funded by the European Union, this project aims to provide accurate updates and comprehensive analyses of the impact of settlement expansions, land confiscations, and associated bypass roads on the socio-economic and environmental landscapes of the region. Utilizing advanced methods such as satellite imagery, aerial photography, and field research, POICA disseminates crucial information to a diverse audience, including policymakers, academics, and the general public.
The project advocates for a peaceful and just resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by highlighting the benefits of cooperation and transparent engagement with stakeholders. Through regular reports and targeted outreach, POICA seeks to raise awareness about the continuing challenges faced in the region, fostering constructive dialogue aimed at promoting sustainable solutions for all involved
