Poijukodit

Poijukodit Oy is a Finnish child welfare provider specializing in residential care for children and young people. Its Poijukoti service offers therapeutic and rehabilitative care in small communities of five or seven children, with a focus on creating a safe, structured and encouraging everyday environment. The approach is built around care, children’s voices, respect, safety, presence and trust.

Children are supported by dedicated personal counsellors and other adults who help them build relationships, develop confidence and experience success. The care also encourages children to reflect on their behaviour, feelings and thoughts, practise caring for others, and express their views constructively. With guidance, they learn to take responsibility for important aspects of their lives in a secure setting.
