Empresas Polar

Programa 1,000 Empresas is an entrepreneurship initiative from Empresas Polar, created to share the company’s experience and methods with Venezuela’s next generation of business owners. Its long-term goal is to support the creation and growth of 1,000 sustainable businesses by Empresas Polar’s centenary in 2041. The program is free and open to people interested in starting a business or expanding an existing venture, across industries and at different stages of development.

Its three pathways are practical online learning, potential access to non-repayable seed capital and personalized mentoring for selected projects, and opportunities to develop suppliers and strengthen Empresas Polar’s value chain. The learning course is scheduled to begin in October 2026; capital and supplier-development initiatives are planned for 2027. Participants can also access mentoring videos and educational resources covering innovation, business models, marketing, technology, leadership, and value chains. Additional resources include essays on Venezuela’s business environment and a forthcoming podcast featuring entrepreneurs, mentors, and economic development experts.
