PolBru

Brussels Capital Ixelles Police Zone, known as PolBru, is the local police service responsible for Brussels, Laeken, Haren, Neder-Over-Heembeek and Ixelles. It shares news and traffic information about events across its territory through its website and social media channels, and provides residents and visitors with practical guidance on safety and police services.

PolBru offers support for reporting crimes, including theft and sexual violence, and provides information for victims, including access to immediate support for sexual violence. Its services also cover traffic matters, appointments, police stations, neighbourhood contacts and advice on preventing theft. Residents can request free absence monitoring for houses while away, and the police zone promotes bicycle registration as part of its efforts to address bike theft.

The organization provides guidance for arranging events and demonstrations in Brussels or Ixelles, as well as information about fines, accidents, criminal-record certificates and camera policies. PolBru also publishes annual reports and prevention notices, and invites community engagement through initiatives such as Coffee with a Cop and its neighbourhood information networks.
