Polevoy Vorobey is an interactive encyclopedia of Russia’s wildlife, created as part of the Kvalia ecosystem and the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Kvalia Center. ” It helps visitors explore the country’s plants and animals through species profiles, nature photography, bird calls, and observation maps. The site features 164 species and 581 photographs, with contributions from five authors, and organizes its collection across birds, mammals, insects, and plants.

Visitors can browse classifications and family pages, discover featured species and photographers, listen to wildlife sounds, and test their knowledge with photo- and audio-based quizzes. The project also presents curated photography exhibitions, with prints shared with schools, libraries, and local history museums. Its content makes nature accessible to curious visitors and supports awareness of wildlife conservation.

To protect rare species, the site does not disclose precise locations of their habitats. Polevoy Vorobey also connects users with a VKontakte community for new photographs, bird calls, and stories about species, while offering a regional setting to help surface locally relevant observations
