Welcome to the Police Unity Tour, an organization dedicated to raising awareness of the brave law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Our mission is to ensure that their memory is never forgotten. It all began in 1997 when Officer Patrick Montuore of the Florham Park Police Department had a simple yet powerful idea: organize a four-day bicycle ride from New Jersey to Washington, DC.
Since then, the Police Unity Tour has grown into a nationwide movement, consisting of 9 chapters and nearly 2,600 members. Each year, our dedicated participants, including riders, motorcycles, and support personnel, embark on a challenging journey that they prepare for throughout the year. Through fundraising efforts and rigorous physical training, they not only honor the fallen officers but also raise awareness of the sacrifices made by law enforcement.
The journey concludes at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, where our participants are warmly welcomed by friends, family, and survivors. Here, they present remembrance bracelets to the families of the fallen, symbolizing our solidarity and support. We are proud to have donated over $33 million to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund so far, and we continue to support other significant programs and initiatives, including the National Law Enforcement Museum’s Hall of Remembrance.
