Polkawagen

Polkawagen is a Nashville-based traveling polka band led by husband-and-wife multi-instrumentalists Bart and Liesa Elliott. Performing year-round, the duo creates a lively sound reminiscent of a larger ensemble, combining traditional folk music with modern touches. Their repertoire spans Bavarian, German, Bohemian, Czech, Polish, Slovenian, and American styles, including polkas, waltzes, marches, instrumental classics, sing-alongs, and novelty songs in German, Czech, and English.

Available for festivals, community celebrations, corporate gatherings, family parties, and Oktoberfest-themed events, Polkawagen performs throughout the Southeast and lower Midwest. Each music package is tailored to the occasion, with consideration for audience size and age, venue, and volume needs. Beyond live music, the band brings family-friendly comedy and entertainment, offers guests a quick polka dance lesson, and can help host Bavarian-themed games and competitions. From intimate home celebrations to large outdoor festivals, Polkawagen aims to make events welcoming, participatory, and fun for guests of all ages. Its clients include festivals, businesses, and community organizations.
