Polo Sport Club (Polo SC) is a water polo club founded in 1999, with a primary focus on women’s and girls’ water polo. The club develops players across several age groups, from children and youth teams to adult and senior players, and provides coaching, competition schedules, results, and club news through its website. Since its founding, Polo SC has developed numerous players who began playing water polo at the club and later represented youth national teams.
Four of its homegrown female players have also earned places in the senior national team, while its athletes regularly play important roles in youth international competitions. The club cites Garda Krisztina, who began her water polo career at Polo SC and played for Hungary’s bronze-medal team at the most recent senior World Championship referenced on the site. Between 2004 and 2009, Polo SC worked with Budapest Honvéd to build a successful senior team, winning the LEN Cup, the LEN Super Cup, three Hungarian championships, and three Hungarian Cups
