Pólusok

Pólusok Social Science Association is a Hungarian organization founded in 2003 to promote the spread of social science knowledge in secondary and higher education. Its work also includes sociology and political science research and surveys, alongside the publication and distribution of works on social science topics. The association maintains close ties with the Department of Political Studies at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Pécs. This collaboration has led to joint events and the publication of collected studies and journal articles.

The association publishes Pólusok, an academic journal focused on research in political science and international studies. The journal aims to share scholarly findings and contribute to professional discussion in these fields. It releases two online issues each year, following a winter-spring and summer-autumn schedule. Manuscripts that meet its formal requirements are reviewed anonymously by two referees, who receive submissions without the authors’ names. Through its educational, research, publishing, and journal activities, Pólusok supports the exchange and development of social science knowledge.
