About Pooky Knightsmith
Dr. Pooky Knightsmith is a distinguished keynote speaker, author, and advisor dedicated to improving mental health through practical, actionable ideas. With a PhD from the Institute of Psychiatry at Kings College London, Pooky has extensive expertise in children and young people's mental health, recognized through her former role as the chair of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition. She has authored several insightful books and educated thousands through her engaging speaking engagements, online training sessions, and informative YouTube videos.
Pooky's approach to mental health is deeply rooted in her personal experiences, as she has navigated challenges such as PTSD, anorexia, self-harm, and depression. As an autistic mother of two, she shares her lived experiences and professional knowledge to foster understanding and awareness.
