Popálky | Zdar nad Sazavou is a non-governmental non-profit organization dedicated to helping people recover from burn injuries and supporting their loved ones in coping with the aftermath. Their mission is to assist individuals in returning to an active and fulfilling life as quickly as possible, while also striving to reduce the frequency and severity of burn injuries through preventive and educational activities. Their range of services includes providing support and assistance to burn survivors and their families, as well as running educational programs in preschools and schools to promote burn injury prevention.

They also offer an online counseling service and operate an e-shop that offers products for burn survivors and their loved ones. Each year in the Czech Republic, 40,000 people, including 8,000 children, seek medical help for burn injuries. Many of them are left with physical and emotional scars.
