Popcode is a service that brings printed photos and artwork to life by linking them to videos, voice recordings, or photo montages. Using augmented reality in a web browser, it lets people point a phone at a printed image and play its associated memory without downloading an app, creating an account to view, or scanning a QR code. Creators can upload photos, choose what each image plays, and share a short Popcode link. The first five Popcodes are free, and users can add them to prints they already own or order items ready to scan through the online shop.

Popcode’s products include photo books, wall calendars, board books, framed and canvas prints, photo tiles, acrylic prints, and other photo gifts. The service also supports galleries, museums, and open studios with self-guided narrated tours, using recorded voice or video instead of dedicated handsets or an app. Designed for family memories, celebrations, travel, recipes, and commemorations, Popcode connects physical keepsakes with the stories behind them.
