POP Gallery Denver is a contemporary art gallery in Denver’s Santa Fe Arts District, located at 767 Santa Fe Drive. Established in 2007 as New Mexico’s first cutting-edge gallery, POP was founded by Michael McDowell and Sharla Throckmorton McDowell, who bring more than 30 years of experience in Santa Fe and international art communities. The gallery presents established and emerging artists from around the world, with a focus on New Brow Contemporary and work influenced by pop art, illustration, comics, cartoons, graffiti, tattooing, and surrealism.
Its collection spans contemporary and modern art, pop surrealism, Americana, jewelry, and sculpture, with original works available for purchase. POP Gallery Denver also curates exhibitions, hosts special events and First Friday Art Walks, and offers guided tours by appointment. Artists may submit work for consideration in group shows during designated submission periods.
