Founded by Lynda Pedder, the brand was born out of her quest to find gourmet chocolates on the Gold Coast and her passion for educating others about the art of chocolate-making. Dissatisfied with the lack of options available, Lynda and her (then) husband took the leap and purchased a small chocolate business in 2005, with the goal of revolutionizing the chocolate scene in Australia.

Their commitment to excellence led them to become the first chocolatiers in Australia to create premium quality colored chocolates that not only look amazing but also taste incredible. Over the years, the brand has expanded its wholesale business and even opened a chocolate café called Choclicious, which was later sold to focus on wholesale production. Despite the challenges faced along the way, including a divorce and the responsibilities of being a single parent, Lynda's passion for chocolate has prevailed.

She believes that chocolate is a physical representation of love and takes joy in bringing moments of happiness to people's lives, especially during difficult times. In 2016, Poppys Chocolate returned to retail with the opening of a chocolate shop in Robina Town Centre, and now they have launched their online store to deliver their exquisite chocolates directly to chocolate lovers all across Australia.
