PopUp House was a French company focused on designing and building contemporary, energy-efficient homes and other buildings. Its construction system used timber frames and ecological, low-carbon, recyclable materials, including bio-based insulation. The company aimed to combine thermal performance, modern design and cost efficiency through standardized, industrialized production. Its projects were manufactured in France at a facility near Aix-en-Provence.
Customers could personalize designs using PopUp Builder, an online tool offering real-time 3D planning and connections to production and logistics. PopUp House offered homes from its collection, as well as offices and eco-neighborhood projects. Its Twenty range included a 20-square-metre garden studio intended for uses such as a workspace, studio or rental accommodation. The company also presented completed projects and customer experiences to help prospective buyers explore design and layout ideas.
Founded in 2015, PopUp House reported completing more than 650 projects, and later referred to 700 innovative projects. It ceased operations in June 2023 for economic reasons and thanked its customers and partners for their support.
