Poradnia Leczenia Uzależnień w Opolu is a counseling and treatment clinic supporting people affected by substance-related and behavioral addictions, as well as their families. Its services address dependence on psychoactive substances, including alcohol and medication, and include individual and group therapy focused on achieving and maintaining abstinence. The clinic also offers pharmacological support for people receiving alcohol-dependence treatment, with the aim of helping them sustain abstinence.

For clients seeking to reduce health and social harms or change patterns of substance use, the clinic provides individual and group sessions through its alcohol-reduction program, POP, and the Candis program. It also treats behavioral addictions, including gambling, gaming, internet use, shopping, work, and sex. Families and loved ones can receive support for emotional and health difficulties associated with another person’s addiction, including stress-related problems affecting family life. When appropriate, the clinic refers clients to detoxification wards and addiction treatment centers.

All services are provided under a contract with Poland’s National Health Fund and are free of charge; health insurance is not required.
