About Port Arthur LNG
Port Arthur LNG is a transformative liquefaction project located in Jefferson County, Texas, designed to bolster the global liquefied natural gas (LNG) market. With an investment of approximately $13 billion, Phase 1 of the project is currently under construction and is strategically positioned along the Gulf of Mexico. This state-of-the-art facility will feature two liquefaction trains and two LNG storage tanks with a total capacity of around 13 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa).
Developed as a joint venture between Sempra Infrastructure and ConocoPhillips, Port Arthur LNG is committed to delivering low-cost, reliable energy solutions to meet international demand. With a strong focus on safety, reliability, and sustainability, the project is anticipated to generate about 5,000 skilled jobs during construction and significantly enrich the local economy. Port Arthur LNG also actively invests in community initiatives, having contributed over $40 million since 2015 to support education, environmental stewardship, and local business development.
Expected operational dates for the facility are set for 2027 and 2028, marking a significant milestone in energy infrastructure development
