Port Charlottetown, located in Prince Edward Island, has evolved into a leading cruise destination within Atlantic Canada. As the busiest common-user marine terminal facility on the island, the port plays a vital role in welcoming cruise ships, as well as facilitating the transportation of sand, gravel, petroleum products, and agricultural fertilizer.

The port's evolution can be traced back to several significant milestones. In 2005, the federal government divested the port to the Charlottetown Harbour Authority Inc. (CHAI). Since then, the port has undergone major expansions, including the development of pedestrian-friendly walkways and the addition of the Founders' Food Hall and Market, a curated dining and shopping experience showcasing local products.

Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic, Port Charlottetown continued to serve as critical infrastructure for commercial business operations. In 2021, the port completed a $12 million berth expansion project, doubling its capacity to accommodate two large vessels at berths.

The port's commitment to excellence was recognized when its CEO, Mike Cochrane, was awarded the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2022.
