About Porter's Patch
Established in 1876, Porter's Patch is a historic brand deeply rooted in the agricultural heritage of Wisconsin. Founded by Milo Porter, a civil war veteran, the brand began with a 160-acre homestead, which received a Land Patent in 1881. Milo and his wife Lucy cultivated a thriving orchard of Butternut and Walnut trees, as well as producing maple syrup, honey, and ginseng harvested from the surrounding woods.
Over the years, the Porter Farm became known for its dairy production and even operated a lime quarry. Although the land passed out of the family's ownership in 1944, subsequent generations continued the farming tradition. Currently under the stewardship of Troy and Lucas Porter, the sixth and seventh generations of the family, Porter's Patch offers agri-tainment experiences for visitors to enjoy.
Recognized as a century farm in 2013, Porter's Patch is a testament to the enduring legacy of Wisconsin's agricultural heritage
