Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin, originally built as an opera house in just two months by the order of Queen Marie-Antoinette in 1781, offers a fascinating blend of history and entertainment. Located at 18 Boulevard Saint-Martin in Paris, this venue has a rich theatrical legacy. With its summer box office hours from 12pm to 6pm on weekdays (closed from August 7th to 20th), it provides accessibility for visitors to enjoy its diverse programming.
From September 27th to December 31st, theatergoers can immerse themselves in Un chapeau de paille d'italie, directed by Alain Françon and starring Vincent Dedienne. Other upcoming performances include Guerre by Louis-Ferdinand Céline featuring Benjamin Voisin, Vivre avec son passé with a conference by Charles Pépin on September 11, 2023, and Dorothy written and performed by Zabou Breitman.
