Porthcawl Surf Shop

Established in 2022, Porthcawl Surf Shop is a locally based surf retailer at Rest Bay Watersports Centre, beside one of the UK’s popular and consistent surfing beaches. Its location just outside the seaside town of Porthcawl makes it convenient for local surfers and visitors travelling from across South Wales and beyond. The shop offers a selection of surf equipment and related kit from established international brands, along with in-store-only deals.

Because it is right by the beach, customers can try their new gear soon after buying it. The team works closely with Porthcawl Surf School, located next door, to help ensure the products meet customers’ expectations. Staff are trained to provide practical, honest advice and recommend equipment to suit each customer, rather than simply promoting the most expensive options.

The shop also offers local guidance for visitors to Rest Bay, including information about beach conditions and surf safety, and invites customers to stop in with questions. It is accessible from the M4 and has a large public car park nearby
