Portofino Multi Family Office

Portofino is an independent Brazilian Multi Family Office specializing in the integrated management of complex family wealth. Founded in 2012 by Carolina Giovanella, the firm grew from managing her own family’s assets into a broader organization serving families and business owners. Its approach is built on independence, transparency, discretion and long-term thinking, with recommendations intended to serve clients’ interests. Portofino has 198 employees and six offices across Brazil: Manaus, Recife, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Porto Alegre and São Paulo.

The firm coordinates the many dimensions of wealth under a single strategy. Its services include investment strategy and portfolio management in Brazil and abroad; wealth, tax and succession planning; real estate asset analysis and management; and support for mergers, acquisitions and business transitions. Portofino also provides family governance and next-generation preparation, tailored planning for athletes, artists and entertainment professionals, and coordination across investments, property, companies and ownership structures. Its specialists use proprietary methods and technology to support analysis, risk management and informed decisions.
