of Positive Approach Inc

Positive Approach, Inc. is a family-owned care agency founded by Tracy and Russell McCoy in 2000. Based in Brighton, Colorado, it serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Denver Metro Area. The organization’s mission is to help each person live in the least restrictive environment that meets their individual needs, with respect and dignity. Its approach emphasizes personal choice, community inclusion, and support for each individual’s independence and development.

Residential services include support for adults living in their own homes or apartments, training for family members who provide paid care, and host home placements with community members. The agency’s day program offers specialized habilitation to build skills such as self-care, self-feeding, and greater self-sufficiency, along with supervision and sensory support. Supported Community Connections help participants access everyday community activities, education, training, volunteering, and retirement opportunities. These services also encourage relationships and natural supports. Positive Approach seeks to recognize each person’s individuality while offering guidance and encouragement tailored to their goals.
