About Positive Life NSW
Positive Life NSW is a prominent brand that is dedicated to promoting a positive image of people living with and affected by HIV. Since its establishment in 1988, Positive Life NSW has been the largest peer-led and run representative body of all people living with HIV in Australia, specifically based in New South Wales (NSW). Their primary goal is to eliminate prejudice, isolation, stigma, and discrimination faced by individuals living with HIV.
The organization provides a wide range of products and services to empower and support individuals. These include information, referral, and advice on health promotion and life issues. Positive Life NSW also advocates on behalf of people living with HIV, lobbying government and non-government organizations to ensure optimal well-being and care.
With a membership-based structure, Positive Life NSW welcomes individuals with HIV in NSW as full members and NSW residents affected by HIV as associate members. They receive annual funding from NSW Ministry of Health, as well as support from sponsors such as Gilead, M·A·C AIDS Fund, and ViiV Healthcare
