Positivgruppen is a Danish association for gay and bisexual men living with HIV, as well as their partners. Based in Frederiksberg, it provides a welcoming community space known as Villaen, where members can meet, share meals and take part in activities. The association aims to help people live as well as possible with HIV and support them in shaping their lives according to their abilities and needs.
Its programme includes yoga, swimming, fitness, art and painting groups, shared cooking, healing activities, and computer and smartphone guidance. Members can also join communal lunches on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with evening meals offered on selected days. Positivgruppen organises a range of social activities and works with other HIV and AIDS organisations on awareness campaigns, commemorations and Pride events.
The association has around 100 regular members and also welcomes enquiries from people elsewhere in Denmark and abroad who wish to visit Villaen. As HIV care and circumstances evolve, Positivgruppen continues to adapt its activities and community support
