At Possibility Place Nursery, we specialize in growing trees, shrubs, and perennials that are indigenous to northeast Illinois. Our plants are sourced from seeds primarily collected in Northern Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa. This ensures that the plants are better adapted to the greater Chicago area compared to those grown from seeds collected further away.

These plants have been tested by the local soil and climate for over 8,000 years, resulting in only the strongest and most resilient varieties surviving. Since 1983, we have focused on growing over 150 species of trees and shrubs, as well as nearly 200 species of forbs, grasses, and sedges native to Northern Illinois. Our passion for native plants has grown as we discovered a shared interest from a large group of people.
