Potomac Fiber Arts Guild is an association of more than 400 fiber artists in the metropolitan Washington, DC area. It welcomes anyone interested in working with fibers and fiber techniques, from hobbyists and students to professional artists and teachers. The guild supports creativity, technical development, and fellowship across a wide range of practices, including weaving, spinning, knitting, quilting, felting, dyeing, and surface design.

Members can take part in monthly meetings featuring presentations by artists from around the world, as well as half-day mini-workshops and longer two- or three-day workshops. Study groups offer opportunities to build skills and share knowledge, while guild events and community outreach encourage collaboration and participation in craft activities. The guild also provides members with a library of more than 1,300 books, periodicals, and videos related to textiles, along with access to a newsletter, member gallery, and other online resources. Through its educational programs and community engagement, Potomac Fiber Arts Guild promotes excellence in fiber art design and craftsmanship and helps foster wider appreciation of the field.
