Potty Plant

At Potty Plant, we aim to debunk the common misconceptions surrounding shelter dogs and shed light on the truth. Choosing to adopt a dog from a shelter rather than a pet store or breeder can make a significant impact on their lives. Contrary to popular belief, shelter dogs are not inherently flawed or diseased.

Most of them end up in shelters due to unrealistic expectations or unfortunate circumstances beyond their control. Before being made available for adoption, shelter dogs undergo thorough behavioral testing to ensure their suitability for a loving home. While it's true that some shelter dogs may have had a difficult past, it's important to focus on their potential for a bright future.

Additionally, shelters take measures to vaccinate their dogs, reducing the likelihood of them carrying diseases. Embracing mixed-breed dogs from shelters not only promotes stronger genetics but also offers the opportunity to discover their unique ancestry through DNA testing. Contrary to popular belief, older dogs from shelters can form deep bonds with their adoptive families and already come with essential training.

By adopting a shelter dog, you not only gain a loyal and grateful companion but also save a life. Join us in debunking these myths and giving shelter dogs the love and happy forever homes they deserve
