Power Kid

PowerKid is a Zwolle-based provider of resilience training and personal support for children, teenagers and adults. Its approach helps participants build confidence, understand their feelings, set boundaries and speak up for themselves in a safe, encouraging environment. Each child is treated as an individual, and support begins with a complimentary, no-obligation intake conversation to understand their needs and shape a suitable programme.

Training follows a psychomotor approach, combining movement, exercises, boxing and discussion. Participants work on body awareness and trust, recognising and regulating emotions, self-knowledge, self-care and constructive ways to respond to thoughts and challenging situations. PowerKid offers personalised, individual programmes, with their duration and intensity adapted to the person. Parents may also receive support as part of a family’s journey. The organisation collaborates with municipalities and other care providers; where a municipality supports the request, a programme may be fully funded. PowerKid is HKZ-certified and its professionals hold SKJ registration. It serves families from locations in Zwolle and Apeldoorn, and offers weekday contact and a no-obligation introduction.
