Power Through Basketball

Power Through Basketball (PTB) is a basketball training organization focused on helping young athletes develop their skills, confidence, and ability to perform in competition. Founded by Coach Elliot Engelmann, whose playing experience includes Division I basketball at Butler University, Division II at Mercyhurst College, and professional competition in the ABA, PBL, and NBL Canada, PTB combines basketball knowledge with an education-informed approach to coaching.

PTB offers skills classes, small-group training, park district classes, travel seasons, and packages for teams and programs. Training is available for players from kindergarten through high school and covers ball handling, finishing at the rim, shooting, footwork, and body control. Sessions also emphasize basketball IQ, focus, communication, accountability, and making effective decisions in games. PTB aims to create a supportive but challenging environment, using collaborative workouts and high expectations to encourage players to work hard, learn, and grow. The organization’s approach is designed to build transferable skills on and off the court while helping each athlete pursue their potential.
