Research Division PPA

PPA Research Division (PPA-RD) is the research arm of the Pakistan Pediatric Association, the representative body of more than 3,000 pediatricians across Pakistan. The Association includes a central body, four provincial branches, a federal branch, and specialty groups, with PPA-RD supporting its mission through research and professional learning. Based in Peshawar, the division promotes pediatric research by inviting proposals from PPA members and offering full or partial funding. It prioritizes work that addresses identified research needs and aims to strengthen knowledge and innovation in pediatric practice.

PPA-RD also organizes conferences, symposiums, workshops, and other educational activities. Topics featured include research methodology, biostatistics, and SPSS, alongside events focused on children’s health. Its activities include the first Pediatric Research Conference, held in collaboration with Khyber Medical University at Saidu Medical College, Swat, in 2024, and a research symposium in 2025. The division shares event updates, project information, photographs, downloadable resources, and access to the Pakistan Pediatric Journal.
